Stephanie Atkinson, MS, APC & Certified Academic Life Coach
Stephanie Atkinson completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She has also completed courses in Biblical Counseling from Birmingham Theological Seminary in Birmingham, Alabama and is a Certified Academic Life Coach. For more than ten years Stephanie has worked with children, adolescents and families in both the school and private practice settings. As a Certified Academic Life Coach, Stephanie helps children, teens and adults with executive functioning skills such as time management, organization, study skills and motivation. Individuals with ADHD, mild autism or executive functioning disorder may also benefit from learning social, emotional, and behavioral management skills. Stephanie provides a wide range of counseling and educational opportunities for individuals, couples and families. She enjoys helping people understand their thinking, learning, and communication styles and using those to strengthen organization, study and life skills. Stephanie has a passion for walking with women through miscarriage, infertility, postpartum, hormonal changes, life circumstance changes and other challenges women may face. She also has a desire to help families through transitional times in life such as becoming a care giver for an elderly parent or spouse. Stephanie views her role as a counselor as someone who can offer encouragement, resources, support and training to those in her path. |
