Hi, I'm Donna!
If you are here, you are on the cusp of taking a significant step toward healing. I want you to know that I do not underestimate how brave this is, and I will be honored to work with you to ensure you feel safe and supported in trusting me with your concerns. How I Approach Therapy: I practice therapy from a trauma-informed and client-centered perspective. This means that we will address the issues that you want to work on at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you. Tools I like to use stem from Compassion- Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other somatic (body-based) techniques to help you reconnect to yourself. In our work together, we will unpack the wounds that have led to your pain and dissatisfaction and help you unburden yourself. I aim to help clients experience compassion for themselves for the first time as well as identify and verbalize their needs. You can expect active listening, compassionate validation, and collaborative problem solving in our sessions. Who I Work With: I work with college students, adults, as well as adolescents (high school age and up). I especially enjoy helping people who are suffering from:
Background and Experience: I completed a Master's in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2019 and became fully licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in November 2022. My level 1 and 2 training in Brainspotting aids me in offering efficient treatment for processing of trauma. Let's Work Together! Please reach out today to start your healing journey! I will be glad to help you take the steps you need to take to feel more empowered, free, and whole. |
