Hi, I’m Alison!
As a therapist, I believe in creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and focused. I aim to get to the heart of what you're experiencing, while moving at a pace that feels right for you. How I Approach Therapy: I draw from several therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. These include Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and various Family Systems theories. Whether we're processing past trauma, exploring relationship dynamics, or working toward personal growth, I want therapy to feel like a collaborative and empowering experience. Who I Work With: I work with individual adults (18+) navigating a wide range of concerns, including:
Much of my experience has been with individuals who have a history of trauma and disordered eating. I integrate EMDR as a powerful tool in trauma therapy. Education & Professional Background: I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, as well as Graduate Certificates in Trauma Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. I am licensed in the state of Georgia as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I’m also an active member of several professional organizations that support my continued growth and commitment to excellence, including:
Let’s Work Together! It’s an incredible honor to do this work and to be trusted with people’s stories. I’m passionate about helping clients move toward healing, connection, and a more fulfilling life. If you’re ready to begin—or continue—your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. |
