Kim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Georgia. She believes relationships provide unique opportunities for personal growth, and has a passion for working with teens and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, relational difficulties and women’s issues.
Kim is especially interested in counseling older teenagers, college students and women struggling with low self-worth and body image, excessive worrying, grief and loss, depressed mood, and social, family and other relationship challenges. Kim invites individuals to not only lean into the pain but also the joy as they journey through the therapeutic process together. Over the past nine years Kim has been in both residential and non-residential settings working with children and teens. Before joining Stonegate, Kim provided therapy and counseling to individuals ages 4 and older at a local non-profit for six years. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors; and she enjoys running, reading, being outdoors and spending time with her husband and three children. She is available to answer any questions that you may have by phone (706) 546-7550 or email. Kim is on maternity leave until March 2018. Contact Kim Horner |
